It is generally used for any mode of transport where more than one mode of transport is used. DDP incoterm mentions that the seller is responsible to make the goods available to the buyer at a pre arranged location for instance: buyer's factory or warehouse.                                              What Is Fas FAS is the acronym of Free Alongside Ship. Like FOB, FAS is an incoterm that is applied only to the mode of transportation where water bodies are involved. In simple words, FOB exclusively applies to the shipping mode of transport. Under this incoterm the seller must deliver the goods along with the ship at the port. In this incoterm the seller is responsible for the goods until it has placed on the dock and cleared for export. It is not an exclusive incoterm and can be used where more than one mode of transport is involved for transportation of goods. It can be used for any transport mode.
