Container freight stations are the facility usually in the proximity of ocean , air or dry ports where the export cargo is consolidated before being shipped out.

This is a place where container stuffing , customs inspection , temporary storage etc takes place.

If near seaports and Airports they seems very useful in reducing the congestion at the seaports terminal.

Origin CFS - An operations facility in the origin country where freight shipments are received , consolidated before being shipped out after stuffing into containers.
Destination CFS - An operations facility in the destination country where freight shipments are de-consolidated , custom cleared and cleared for domestic consumption..

WHAT IS CIF

                                                    WHAT IS CIF CIF is short form of "Cost, Insurance and Freight". Like the CFR this incoterm is also exclusively used for shipping. Also like the CFR CIF is used for bulk goods and non containerised shipments. This indicates that the seller is responsible for the cost as well as the freight of the goods to the destination port which is decided by the buyer. In addition to all of this the seller must also provide insurance for the goods being transported. In CIF the risk transfer point is also different from other incoterms.
